From Christmas Lights to a Complete Outdoor Lighting Company
We've been professionally decorating for years. Christmas decorating was something our family genuinely enjoyed, and it started long before Lakewood Lights became a business.
My wife would come up with ideas for Christmas decorations and projects around the house, and I'd build them and bring them to life. We always enjoyed creating something special for the holidays.
Then one year, our son was going on a school trip to Europe. We decided to hang Christmas lights for a little extra income to help with the trip.
What started as a simple way to earn some extra money quickly turned into something much bigger. The customers we worked for loved what we did and wanted us to come back the following year. The next season, the business grew again — and over the years since then, it has continued to grow through our customers, referrals, and our passion for what we do.
From Holiday Lighting to the Complete Outdoor Lighting Experience
As our holiday lighting business grew, our customers began asking for more. They wanted permanent lighting they could enjoy all year. They wanted their landscape lighting connected to the same system. They wanted lighting around their lanais, pool cages, patios, and outdoor living spaces.
It made sense. Rather than having several different lighting systems controlled by different apps, we could create one connected outdoor lighting ecosystem.
Today, Lakewood Lights offers permanent LED lighting, landscape lighting, lanai and patio lighting, Christmas and holiday lighting, and custom tree decorating — allowing us to create complete outdoor lighting systems for our customers. Our goal is simple: make your home look incredible, make the experience easy, and give you a lighting system you can actually enjoy.
